Hopefully finals week is going alright. I know for some of you – it has come and gone – which means one thing and one thing only… Time to drink!

Congrats to those of you graduating, pending your final scores of course, but wecome to the Husky alumni network. Things are looking great for Husky fans – but this lull in men’s and women’s basketball as well as football is absolutely killing some of our nights. So, tonight we meet in our sanctuary: Ted’s.

Password Thursday is back and we’re paying tribute this week to the UConn Women’s Basketball program, who is on the verge of tying UCLA’s all time record of consecutive wins in a row. Now, Geno would be the first to tell you that this streak doesn’t even compare to that of John Wooden’s. Instead, he would tell you that they are starting a new streak for women’s basketball.

They are expecting close to a sold out crowd at Madison Square Garden on Sunday for the Huskies matchup in the Maggie Dixon Classic with 14th ranked Florida State. That itself, is pretty impressive. So win or lose – Geno has created a giant. But, we can all be proud of how this team has represented this school, the state and its alumni.

That is why tonight my friends, we will celebrate and honor their success. We will cheers to 88 wins – hoping that our Husky ladies can pull it off on Sunday and continue to set the new “women’s college basketball record” as Geno would proudly put it.

Now, not only are we paying tribute to the UConn women’s basketball team, but how about all of the other beautiful women on the UConn campus. I think they all stop in to Ted’s, so guys… why wouldn’t you be there? For real though.
